large and small, have flown them all over the world to teach this life-changing educational experience to their employees. The public has also embraced the simple and powerful ideas in ‘Free To Be Me’.

Barbara Tebo

Barbara was born in Hankow, China. She returned, as a child, with her English family to Devon. Barbara has a bachelor of arts honours degree in Theology from the University of Hull. She also has a graduate diploma in sociology and psychology from the London School of Economics where she met Terry. She also received a post graduate diploma in Education from the University of Birmingham.

Terry Tebo

Terry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the 1960’s Terry worked with Martin Luther King in Selma, Alabama. Terry has a bachelor of arts in philosophy and English literature from St. Francis College, a masters degree in theology and a second masters degree in urban and community affairs from the University of Wisconsin. Terry was ordained a Catholic priest in 1967.

Barbara and Terry refined their educational principles and methodology by working with children and teens who had rejected the British educational system. They co-founded the second “free school” in England with street kids in the slums of Birmingham. The kids called the school the ‘Happy House’. The BBC made a documentary about this creative and successful project.

Barbara and Terry wrote and began teaching ‘Free To Be Me’ soon after they arrived in Australia. They produced a learning experience that is fun, gentle, powerful and a work of art. ‘Free To Be Me’ has helped people begin to release their potential and bring more happiness and success into their own, their families and their companies lives.
